Gunmen Kidnap Students, Farmer in Ondo, Demand Ransom

Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have abducted three students of the Federal College of Agriculture, Akure (FECA), Ondo State, over the weekend.
The victims, who were Industrial Training (IT) students, were kidnapped on Saturday evening while returning from a farm near Akure Airport.
In addition to the students, the attackers also abducted a farmer and a labourer in the Oke Oge area of Akure North Local Government, a few kilometres from the airport.
Reports indicate that the kidnappers have contacted one of the victims’ families, demanding a N15 million ransom.
A source revealed that the victims were ambushed by the gunmen while on their way back from the farm on Saturday evening.
Confirming the incident, the Commander of Amotekun in Ondo State, Adetunji Adeleye, said security operatives had been deployed to rescue the abducted individuals.
He said, “I can confirm to you that we are on top of the situation. They were kidnapped while returning from the farm.
“Our men have been deployed to rescue them from the kidnappers’ den.”
